What you need
Your postcode and a few details about the house. The estimate gets closer the more it knows:
- With a postcode and basic details, it works from typical homes like yours.
- With your home's energy certificate, which it can look up for homes in England, Wales and Scotland, it uses what the assessor recorded.
- With your actual energy bills, it starts from what you really use.
What it can't tell you
It is an estimate, not a quote or a system design. It can't see your radiators, pipework, roof shading or anything that affects planning. An installer's survey does that.
